Our day started at Kari's sister's house for hair and make-up. The sun was shining and it was a gorgeous Saturday morning. A small Catholic Church was selected for the ceremony and in the early afternoon, the stained glass windows were bathed in light and warmth. Kari wore her grandmother's ring for her "something blue" and adorable wedge flip flops with flower accents. Kari and Kevin were the sweetest couple and I couldn’t have been more honored to photograph their day!
After the ceremony, the wedding party boarded a trolley for a short cruise around Lansing. We headed out to the State Capitol and took a little break on the steps and then stopped at the Cooley Gardens. The clouds were rolling in, but they could not take away from the beauty of the flowers and landscape. After a short stroll, it was off to the Royal Scot Banquet Center with a view of the surrounding golf course. The rain held off until after dinner had started and the indoor celebration had begun.
